The karstic mountains of the Adriatic region provide some excellent climbing opportunities for both beginners and experienced climbers.
More than 50% of Croatia's surface is mountainous which, together with its distinctive karst phenomena, makes it one of the most interesting places to climb in Europe. There are lots tried and tested routes, some already made secure with fixed anchorage bolts, but lots more that are waiting to be explored. The steep gorges of the Paklenica National Park offer some of the best climbing in Croatia and there are many other routes situated along the Makaska Riviera in middle Dalmatia. If
