We also offer a weekend tour visiting 2 of the Elafiti islands, Lopud and Kolocep, where you get to experience much of the stunning coastal scenery mentioned on the longer kayaking trips. Based on the traffic free island of Lopud which is blessed with lush Mediterranean vegetation, two 16th century castles and sandy beaches you will enjoy an exciting introduction to Adriatic island life.

Itinerary

Day 1 Transfer from the airport to Dubrovnik and to the island of Lopud (by local boat). Lopud is the second largest island of the Elaphite group. This island delights with its rich vegetation, mild Mediterranean climate and two splendid sandy beaches. With the exception of a few bikes, there is no traffic. In the small picturesque town of Lopud, situated at the western side of the island, guests can walk along a picturesque boulevard with palm trees, small restaurants with seaside terraces, visit the renaissance garden or swim on the lovely sandy beach. Overnight: guesthouse on the island of Lopud. After introduction to kayaking, in a shallow protected bay we paddle to the Bay of Sunj, situated on the opposite side of island. Paddling distance: 7.5 km Overnight: guesthouse on the island of Lopud

Day 2 Island of Lopud to the Island of Kolocep This tour starts with a morning walk from the town of Lopud to the lovely romantic bay of Sunj where we are serenaded by birdsong. Our kayaking expedition starts here and we paddle to the island of Kolocep. The first stop on this island is a small fisherman's village, Donje Celo. Here one can swim, explore the picturesque village or simply relax on the sandy beach. After a break we continue to paddle around the other side of the island, stopping at the fabulous blue cave. Crystal clear water and the play of the sun shimmering on the water make this one of the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean. After another short break we proceed to the small village of Gornje Celo, where we will have lunch in one of the local restaurants. After lunch we paddle back to Lopud. Paddling distance: 14 km Overnight: guesthouse on the island of Lopud

Day 3 Time permitting kayaking in morning. Return by local boat to Dubrovnik, transfers to the airport or onward accommodation.

All the restaurants we visit are local family run restaurants with excellent food and wines, for those who don't eat meat or fish there is always a vegetarian choice...

Group Size: Tour is based on minimum of 6 and max of 10 passengers. All tours and tour extensions require a minimum number of participants to operate.
