A journey back in time
visiting Korcula, the greenest of all the Croatian islands with
its medieval walled town and the home of wealthy sea captains
in the town of Orebic on the wine growing Peljesac Peninsula.
We then visit the idyllic Mljet island, now a UNESCO protected
national park where nature remains unspoiled by the advances
of modern day tourism and technology.
Itinerary
Day
1
Arrival at Split airport. Transfer to Split Harbor and then
by fast catamaran to Korcula.
Day
2 Guide
visit of the medieval walled town of Korcula,
the birthplace of Marco Polo. Lunch in local Konoba. After lunch
we will sail by small boat around the small islands of the Korcula
archipelago in the Peljesac channel and take a short hike on
some of them. Walking

3 By
minibus to the pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik, where we will
enjoy a guided tour of the main sights including numerous churches,
palaces and monasteries. After lunch in a local restaurant we
will walk around the old city on the 10 metre thick walls, looking
down on the red tiled roofs and the maze of narrow winding alleyways.
Return to Korcula in the evening passing by the Oyster beds
of Ston where we can climb on the fortified walls that were
built in the 13th century to protect invaders from the mainland.

4 Transfer
by small boat to Peljesac peninsula. Walking from Kuciste village
to Orebic, the home of sea captains from days gone by. We will
walk along the lower slopes of Mt. St Illija, through pine forests,
past the Franciscan monastry and hamlet of Karmen where we will
have a picnic lunch.

5 By
boat to the enchanting Island of Mljet which is now a UNESCO
protected National Park. We will walk around the two lakes that
are connected by a small channel and are home to the 12 th century
Benadictine monastery in the middle of Veliko Jezero. Picnic
lunch by the lakes. Return to Korcula. Walking

Day
6 Defora
tour. Walking on Korcula island through the vineyards and villages
of Bratinja, Orlandusa, and on to Pavja Luka bay. Here we can
sample the famous Krk wine that is produced on the island. Lunch
with home produced wine by local family in traditional konoba.

7 Transfer
to village of Pupnat in the centre of the island. Walking down
to the fishing village at Kocje and on to Korcula town. Lunch

we visit are local family run restaurants with excellent food
and wines, for those who don't eat meat or fish there is always

Travellers: Most programs offer a limited number of single
rooms, subject to availability and hotel space. Please contact
us prior you make the booking for costs.
Group Size:
Tour is based on min. of 6 and max of 12 passengers. All tours
and tour extensions require a minimum number of participants
to operate.
