Join us on our Julian
Alps adventure in Slovenia and enjoy spectacular alpine views,
unspoilt nature and landscapes that have beed carved by glaciers
over millions of years. Experience the high peaks and the lowland
valleys, the beautiful tranquil lakes and wild rivers, and enjoy
the warm hospitality and great cuisines of our hosts.
Itinerary
Day
1 You will be met at Ljubljana
Airport (or Trieste, Italy) and transferred to Tolmin where
we settle down in our private family run guesthouse. Introduction
and presentation of the programme and basic information about
Tolmin and its valley.
The afternoon is free to explore the local village and surrounding
area or there is the option of an extra activity at the Tolmin
Adrenalin Park, 'The high ropes course' (min. 4 persons) where
you will have to manage 8 different bridges at the height of
9 meters.
Day
2 Breakfast
- transfer from Tolmin to the pasture at Kuhinja, the starting
point for our three day tekking through the magnificent Julian
Alps. We begin our steady ascent by walking up the valley to
the mountain Krn (2244m/4 hours). After lunch and taking in
some breathtaking views we descend to the Lakes of Krn (1300m/3
hours), where we will enjoy our evening meal before getting
a good nights sleep in the mountain hut.
Day
3 After
a hearty breakfast we hike from the Lakes of Krn to Prehodci,
high above the Polog valley before continuing across the pasture
Kal (1490m) and on to the pasture Razor (1315m/5-6 hours). Here
we will spend our second night in the heart of the mountains
in the hikers mountain hut.
Day
4 After
breakfast we will climb from the pasture Razor to Vogel (1922m/2-3
hours). From here we will take the scenic gondola ride down
to the beautiful valley at Bohinj. After a spot of lunch and
a look around the village we will head from Bohinjska Bistrica
by train back to Tolmin, returning in time for dinner.
Day
5 A
well earned rest day or for those with energy to burn there
is the optional extra activity to go mini rafting on the Soca
river. (min. 4 persons).This is a truly exhilerating trip and
one of the best ways to experience the emerald green waters
of the winding river.
Barbecue lunch at Camp Vili beside the calmer part of the Soca
river where there will be time
in the afternoon for paddling, swimming and sunbathing.
The day ends at the Volce bridge near Tolmin, where we'll change
from our wetsuites back into our dry clothes. Dinner in Tolmin.
Day
6 After
breakfast at the guesthouse we will collect our bikes and embark
on our Mountain biking day in the Soca valley.
Trail 1: Tolmin - Idrsko - Livek - Livske ravne - Volcanski
ruti - Tolmin (43km/980m height distance) Dinner in Tolmin
Day
7 Today
we will explore a different part of the Soca river valley by
Mountain bike passing lakes, waterfalls and some of the most
stunning mountain scenery in Europe.
Trail 2: Tolmin - Stador - Razor - Tolminske ravne - Tolmin
(40km/1250m height distance) o Dinner at Kofol

Health
and fitness:
- Clients are requested to be physically and mentally fit,
- Activities are not suitable for pregnant women, people with
heart conditions and non-swimmers,
- Clients under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating
substance are NOT PERMITTED.
What to
bring:
- sport clothes and shoes, trekking boots, waterproof weather
clothes i.e.goretex jacket, cycling shorts, bathing suit, towel,
a backpack, a hat and sun cream

Group Size:
Explore the Julian Alps tour is based on min of 6 and max of
10 passengers. All trips and trip extensions require a minimum
number of participants to operate.
